Hello and welcome to Rita`s Kitchen Today we are making fish fry with tomato chutney We hope you will like it Fish is rich in Omega 3 and Vitamin E therefor, it is important that you eat fish Try to make at least one fish dish in the teej dar party If you are wondering about what types of recipe you should make in teej daa party Click on the description of this video We have included the links of a lot of video useful during Teej dar party We hope you will like those videos Let`s start today`s recipe Let`s marinate the fish Add 1 table spoon of garlic and mustard paste 1/2 tsp of Cumin powder 1/2 tsp of coriander powder 1/2 tsp of chili powder a little bit turmeric powder and a little bit black pepper 1 tsp of salt 2 table spoon oil Oil helps to hold the marination We are not adding any egg or flour in the recipe Still the fish fry is going to be great. We will show you how to make crispy fish fry It will be delicious and mouth watering Mix all the ingredients well Once you have marinated the fish, cover it and keep it on the side for about at least 30 minutes Let`s fry the fish now take a large size pan and warm it on high heat Add about 100 ml of oil We will shallow fry the fish We don`t need large quantity of oil Add the fish one by one on the pan Remember !!! When you are frying fish, the pan needs to be really hot If the pan is not hot, you will not get nice color at the same time it can stick to the bottom of the pan and it breaks when you flip them Now you can see we have added all the fish to the pan fry it for about 3 to 3.5 minutes on each side if you are working on a hot pan If the pan is not hot it might take a bit longer Look at the color before you flip it It needs to be golden brown flip all the fish one by one it breaks really easily Look at the fish, it looks so crispy. Let`s make the tomato chutney while the fish is frying Take a pan and add some oil on it add 0.5 tsp cumin seeds to the oil when the oil is hot Add some dry chilies and a bay leaf fry everything for about 1-2 minutes When it is golden brown add finely chopped onion we will fry the onion until it is golden brown If you are thinking of making fish curry click on the link shown on the screen above to watch the video of delicious fish curry Onions are golden brown Let`s add some finely chopped tomatoes We need to fry it for a while It takes about 15- 20 minutes to make tomato chutney If you have chopped the tomatoes and the onion fine then the tomato chutney is ready in no time But if you cut them in bigger chunks It could take a bit longer Cover and cook the tomato chutney it goes faster We need smooth consistency in the gravy therefore we need to cook it for a while Add turmeric powder and salt it helps to cook the chutney faster add cumin powder and coriander powder Add also the chili powder and black pepper Fry all the spices with the tomatoes for about 2-3 minutes Add water little by little Look at the gravy it is getting smoother we have used about 200 ml of water cover it and let it cook for 5-7 minutes Wow! Look at the fish It looks crispy and golden brown Take the fish out on a paper towel Even at home, if the fish looks golden brown, it`s time to take it out If you are thinking about making Goat curry then click on the link shown above Look at the chutney, it looks really smooth give it a good mix Take half of the chutney out on the bowl You can serve it with fish on the side leave half of the chutney on the pan Add 2-3 pieces of fried fish in the chutney cook the fish with the chutney for about 2-3 minutes on both sides I can not describe the taste of this fish it is just mouth watering, you will never forget the taste Serve it with puffed rice or flattened rice or the way you like Add the extra chutney on the top of the fish If you don`t like the fish cooked in chutney serve the fried fish with chutney on the side Did you like today`s recipe?
