40 Tacos in 40 Minutes Eating Challenge @ Red Rock Casino | FreakEating in Las Vegas

here we are… the new season of freak eating episode 3 is going to take us to Las Vegas heading out to check out mercadito at the Red Rock Cafe turns out they have a 32 taco challenge if you can eat 32 tacos in one hour you get your meal for free and you get a two-hundred-dollar gift certificate since i recently celebrated my 32nd birthday it only seems fitting that I need 32 tacos to celebrate so we’re on the road to vegas pretty soon we’re going to answer that age-old question how many tacos can one many so with no further fanfare no BS and install let’s get down to business and I’ll catch you guys later dr. Graham so when I got some marketo I found out they changed the challenge you know that sometimes happens it was no longer 32 tacos in an hour you now has a 40 tacos in 40 minutes to win the prize and the prize is a pretty nice but honestly it’s a free meal and a two-hundred-dollar gift card to the restaurant I had no idea how mercadito was going to look when i got there but it was actually a very nice place and I was kind of grateful that i had to go for camera because the staff with little leery of me setting up a big tripod and disturbing the other diners there i didn’t get to me mean looks but the hardest part of this challenge honestly is the kitchen keeping up with me and I’m sure anyone else who takes the child is going to have the same problem because anyone who’s used going through challenges tries to go to clear again and as you can see in this video footage there are most of my time they just spent at the table waiting for my next round of tacos to come I guess it’s probably the funniest part of this video is just the amount of dead time literally just sitting there just staring off into space looking around and nervously worrying that they’re not going to bring out my food in time because if you think about it that’s a pretty good way for the kitchen to hedge their bets against you is just not to bring you out food course I’m joking you know they’re all good sports about it but during busy times and the time Iranian on a Saturday night is actually pretty busy i was $DAY i had legitimate reason to be concerned but thankfully my server was absolutely awesome and she made sure that tacos were coming out to me in a fairly regular basis she can see pretty early on that I was a pretty decent heater pretty pretty solid in terms of my rate of speed she was concerned you know about bringing out 24 tacos and I wouldn’t be able to eat them because she had told me about previous diners who had asked for lots of tacos and come out at once they couldn’t finish him and they ended up having to pay a lot i believe a plate of for tacos runs like seven or eight dollars at this place so you know you can imagine that if you fail this thing it’s a pretty steep 62 seven bugs for the challenge you can get any tacos that you want we don’t necessarily have to be one flavor or another i started with shrimp which actually comes the little piece of avocado they were pretty damn delicious and pretty fast moving but i decided to switch up to mushroom which came at a really heavy fatty sauce those mushroom tacos were delicious and the benefit of that fatty sauce is they were very easy to swallow you really didn’t need water for them for the most part but the drawback to that fatty sauce was it was very filling and towards the end it became very difficult to keep going but from doing taco eating contest in the past I knew that 40 tacos and 40 minutes would not really be a problem and if you’re familiar with a lot of eating contest you’ll recognize this challenge as what they call a japanese-style eating contest at a japanese eating challenge you know you typically get one plate of food and then you finish it and then bring you out another one and you that may bring you another one japanese events are long events typically 30 minutes an hour two hours American viewers of competitive eating are much more familiar with shorter american-style contests such as Nathan’s hot dog eating contest was only last for 10 minutes every contestant has a ton of food in front of them and their goal just as quickly as possible there’s not many Japanese style events held in the united states and I don’t know if the staff at market already realizes it or not but this really is a japanese-style event I to do very well there’s longer events compared to be short two-minute events probably my most epic string of contest victories happened at this to power chicken of eating contest that chick-fil-a used to hold an orange county i actually won that contest four times in a row with to our nugget totals of 201 205 206 and finally 212 it’s dumping the content so I couldn’t really try to see how high my numbers could get but even at 212 I wasn’t totally stuffed to the gills and ditto for this taco challenge even as I oppose 40 tacos I wasn’t really done a server children the end if I wanted more and you know I technically had a two-hundred-dollar gift card which could have used but i also told you know I have satisfied my level tacos right now and i actually asked for a grip grapefruit juice to action will change up the taste in my mouth and you know put this meal behind me I didn’t tell her much but i still have to eat challenges left on my journey to Las Vegas and I didn’t want to spoil my appetite for those the next day if you enjoyed this video hit that thumbs up button and stay tuned to freak eating because we got two more eating challenges in this Memorial Day five-challenge trip if you’re curious i have the two previous challenges on this four-day trip link down below and as you can see in this video footage there are most of my time was just spent at the table waiting for my next round of tacos to come I guess that’s probably the funniest part of this video is just the amount of dead time literally just sitting there just staring off into space looking around and nervously worrying that they’re not going to bring out my food in time ok ok ok I’ve gotten up next the satisfaction limited longtime didn’t just like you’re saying though they’re putting my kind of heavy salt Oh 45 you’re good your 1. Are you ready?
You think you could tell us what to do.
You think you could tell us what to wear.
    You think that you're better.
    Well you better get ready.
    Bow to the masters.

    Break it down!

  2. Beast! And that waitress was impressed haha….she was probably blown away that a normal looking average weight dude aced the challenge. Shoulda grabbed her digits or offered to buy her dinner with the gift card :p even though it may be lame to take a chick out to the place she works :p but then again ive worked at many restaurants and have dated a few coworkers at them….never minded going to eat where we worked. If the food is delicious who cares! Plus the employee discount never hurts hehe

  3. Oh and mercadito is delicious…I've been to the NYC location once or twice. It's an upscale-ish Mexican chain. Great tacos !

  4. Way to go Naader but this challenge pissed me the eff off.

The restaurant owes you 15 minutes (or thereof) for forcing you to wait in betwixt plates.

  5. Damn Naader you could have finished those 40 Tacos in 20 min or less. If the service wasn't so slow…

  6. When the server saw you  weren't messing around the tacos came out at a good pace.  The tacos looked friggin good!

  7. Stop commenting over man every video is like this we want to see live commentary. You are awkward and very boring you have a talent stick to that.

  8. Free massive meal and $200 for more tacos! thats pretty damned good price. How offen could you do this challange?

  9. You killed it! I just thought it was a little unfair how you waiting for the tacos cut into the time. But nonetheless, good job!

  10. Nice but I think u could of had less time if they was serving u fast. Smdh that suck but thumbs up

  11. That is kind of bull shit tho. They should have the tacos ready for you. Waiting is not part of the challenge lol

  12. love how you're in what seems to be in a high end restaurant, and you're wearing a DX T-Shirt, guess you thought "if they aint down with what i'm wearing, i got two words for em!"

    Crowd Yells "SUCK IT!!"

  13. What kind of a doofus restaurant is this that they offer a food challenge like 40 tacos, but are leery of cameras and don't keep up with the eaters?? There was like 13 mins of waiting time! That could definitely break a challenge! How stupid!

  14. As for how alcohol affects the mind, it is best understood as a drug that reduces a person's ability to think rationally and distorts his or her judgment, and classified as a depressant.

  15. The wait time is absolutely ridiculous.

I mean, I'm no expert but those tacos can't be difficult to make. With as busy as that place looks you know they pretty much have the fillings for those things cooking constantly. Just spoon the innards into the shell and go.

  16. @freakeating I just did a taco challenge in bakersfield California. it was 40 tacos in 45 minutes plus u had to finsh a picture of beer I almost finshed I ran out of time with one taco left:(

  18. IN ("ALL FAIRNESS!!!!")….HIS "WAITING" ON TACOS AND "NOT EATING!!!"….SHOULD HAVE BEED DEDUCTED FROM HIS FINISHING TIME….BECAUSE WITH "EATING CONTESTS!!!!….YOU ARE "CONSTANTLY" EATING AND NOT "WAITING!!!!" ON FOOD TO EAT!!!!😕
