CARRIE FISHER’S Dog Finds A Home | TMZ Live

WE GOT A LOT TO TELL YOU ABOUT WITH CARRIE FISHER. FIRST OF ALL, THIS IS REALLY SAD TO ME. SHE LOVED THIS DOG, GARY, THE FRENCH BULLDOG, SO MUCH. IT WAS LIKE HER CHILD. IT WENT EVERYWHERE WITH HER. KELLY: A CONSTANT COMPANION. HARVEY: WAS ON THE PLANE. KELLY: ANY RED CARPET SHE WAS AT. HE ATTENDED INTERVIEWS, HE WAS ON THE PLANE BECAUSE HE WAS A COMPANION ANIMAL AND DIAGNOSED COMPANION ANIMAL. HARVEY: WE HAD A BIG DEBATE IN THE NEWSROOM ABOUT THIS. I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT ANIMALS ARE SENSITIVE, THEY UNDERSTAND, DOGS UNDERSTAND LOSS. AND LOOK AT THE PICTURES OF THIS POOR DOG. I MEAN, MAYBE I’M READING TOO MUCH INTO IT, BUT HE JUST LOOKS SAD TO ME. KELLY: THAT WAS A PICTURE THAT WAS POSTED ON THE TWITTER ACCOUNT, BY THE WAY, THAT SAID WAITING FOR MOMMY TO COME HOME. SADDEST THING, RIPS YOUR HEART OUT. NO NEED TO WORRY, GARY HAS THE PERFECT HOME. HE IS GOING TO GO LIVE WITH BILLIE, WHO IS CARRIE’S DAUGHTER AND HE HAS A NEW SISTER NAMED TINA. GARY: SO WE’RE TOLD GARY AND TINA ARE LIKE BESTIES AND THEY’RE GOING TO HANG OUT TOGETHER NOW. BILLIE, SHE IS VERY BUSY ALSO AS AN ACTRESS. WE’RE TOLD WHEN SHE IS NOT ABLE TO DO STUFF, THE FAMILY WILL STEP IN AND HELP OUT. SO GARY IS NOT LEAVING THE FISHER FAMILY. I’M TOLD HE IS A MEMBER OF THE FAMILY. THEY WOULD NEVER EVER THINK ABOUT PUTTING HIM ANYWHERE. HARVEY: LOOK AT THAT PICTURE. KELLY: I KNOW. OBVIOUSLY HE HAS THE THING WITH THE TONGUE STICKING OUT. MY DOG HAS THAT, TOO. CUTEST THING IN THE WORLD. HARVEY: OTHER STUFF TO TELL YOU ABOUT. I DON’T KNOW IF DENNIS IS BACK THERE. BUT DENNIS AND I TALKED TO A COUPLE OF E.M.T.’S YESTERDAY OVER AT L.A.X. IT IS REALLY INTERESTING, BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO CARRIE FISHER ON THIS PLANE IS A PROBLEM WITH PASSENGERS ON COMMERCIAL JETS — THERE ARE PEOPLE ON COMMERCIAL JET LINERS, ESPECIALLY LONG-DISTANCE FLIGHTS, WHO START EXPERIENCING DEPRESS — CHEST PAINS. KELLY: SYMPTOMS AND THEY GO, IT’S NOTHING, I’LL GET IT CHECKED OUT WHEN I GET HOME. HARVEY: OR THE BIG THING IS THIS. THEY’RE ON A PLANE, AND THEY’RE TWO HOURS OUT OF L.A., ON AN INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT. THEY AUTOMATICALLY SAY, I CAN JUST WAIT IT OUT UNTIL I LAND, AND THOSE TWO HOURS BECOME CRITICAL. THEY HAVE HAD A LOT OF PROBLEMS ON AIRPLANES WITH PEOPLE WHO JUST DON’T WANT TO DEAL WITH IT UNTIL THEY LAND. KELLY: THEY DON’T WANT TO CAUSE A SCENE. HARVEY: THEY DON’T WANT THE PLANE TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY LANDING. THE OTHER THING WE’RE TOLD IS A LOT OF PEOPLE EXPERIENCE DISTRESS AND SOMETIMES HAVE HEART FAILURE BECAUSE THEY DON’T TAKE THEIR MEDICATIONS, ESPECIALLY IN THE LONG DISTANCE FLIGHTS WHERE THEY LOSE SENSE OF TIME. KELLY: ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU’RE GOING THROUGH A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN TIME. LONDON IS LIKE, EIGHT HOURS AHEAD OF US? HARVEY: NINE, I THINK. KELLY: YOU FORGET. LIKE YOU SAID, IGNORING CERTAIN SIGNS OR SYMPTOMS BECAUSE SOMETIMES THESE HEART ATTACKS COME ON AND IT FEELS LIKE INDIGESTION. THEY DON’T FEEL IT LIKE LIGHTNING PAIN RIGHT AWAY. HARVEY: EVEN WHEN THEY DO, THEY WAIT IT OUT, THE MEDICATIONS DON’T KICK IN BECAUSE THEY’RE NOT TAKING THEM. THE OTHER THING WE’RE TOLD, THE OTHER THING THAT PREVENTS PEOPLE FROM SAYING ANYTHING, THEY ASSUME NOBODY ON THE PLANE IS CAPABLE OF DEALING WITH THE EMERGENCY. AND WHAT WE ARE TOLD BY THE E.M.T.S, LOOK, ALL OF THE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS ARE TRAINED IN C.P.R. NUMBER ONE. TWO, THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE ON THE PLANE, — KELLY: THERE’S A DEFIBRILLATOR ON EVERY PLANE. HARVEY: THERE’S A DEFIBRILLATOR ON EVERY PLANE AND THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE AND THE LIKELIHOOD IS SOMEBODY WILL BE A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL. KELLY: SHE HAD A NURSE ON THE PLANE. HARVEY: THEY BROUGHT A PASSENGER FROM THE BACK WHO CAME TO THE FRONT AND ULTIMATELY DID HELP HER. IN HER CASE, SHE WAS AT LEAST 10 MINUTES EVEN WITHOUT A PULSE WE’RE TOLD AND NEVER EVER REALLY REGAINED CONSCIOUSNESS, THAT WHEN SHE WAS TAKEN TO UCLA, SHE NEVER GOT BETTER AND ULTIMATELY DIED AS THEY WERE THINKING OF TAKING HER OFF OF THE VENTILATOR, BUT APPARENTLY, THIS IS JUST A BIGGER PROBLEM THAN ANYBODY KNEW, OR AT LEAST I KNEW. CALLER: HI, JEROME FROM NORWAY, HERE, 2016, WHAT CAN I SAY, WHAT A TERRIBLE YEAR. WE LOST SO MANY PEOPLE. IT’S KIND OF STRANGE. I SAW THE ENDING OF “ROGUE ONE,” AND A LITTLE SPOILER, SHE HAD A LITTLE CAMEO THERE AND HER LAST SCENE IS ABOUT HOPE. I WILL REMEMBER HER AS ONE OF THE GREATEST ACTORS IN “STAR WARS.” HARVEY: SHE WAS — I GOT TO TELL YOU. I LISTENED TO, I THINK IT WAS A COLBERT INTERVIEW SHE DID, OK, HILARIOUS, BUT ALSO SO SMART. KELLY: SMART AND WITTY. QUICK AND WITTY. VAN: AND WISE, HARVEY. SHE WAS WISE. SHE HAD A WISDOM ABOUT HER, A HUGE LOSS. HARVEY: A GREAT SCENE IN “SOAP DISH.” VAN: SHE WAS IN “SOAP DISH.”

  1. Forgive me if I'm wrong. But aren't women much more likely to not even realize they're having a heart attack, where as men are more likely to feel more pain? I'm not doctor, but I'm fairly sure I've heard that women can go to the doctor and be told they've had a heart attack, and not even have known it happened. Which seems so much scarier!

  2. Awwww I'm so glad Billie is keeping Gary. He was her dog first so I'm sure she loves him. It's said Carrie fell in love with Gary and hijacked him from Billie lol. Gary has come full circle. I'm sure he is so confused so it's great that Billie has him.

  3. The girl doesn't let Harvey talk. She interrupts him so many times and talks over him. So annoying to watch it. I wonder if afterwards he tells her to shut the hell up once in a while lol.

  4. very glad to hear about gary im a huge dog lover and this made my day that dog is very smart it's a therapy dog so he no's what's going on glad the family is keeping him

  5. She said Gary was her dog first and her mom took him from her cause she feel in love with him and the tongue 🙂 now he's reunited. He'll be taken of really good either way!

  6. If this information is correct, 10 minutes with out breathing and no pulse. Brain damage takes over after 5 minutes. She was also on a ventilator which tells me she had no lower brain function.😔 Gary will miss his mother but Billie will take good care of him.

  7. A/C cabins should have life saving medications on board where flight crew should be trained on how to administer. I.e. Thrombolytics- for heart attack, antihistamine, up to Narcan. Even if there's a dr. on board, but nothing to administer in, then he's just managing the symptoms but not treating it

  8. GIRL IN THE SHIRT WITH LEMONS ON THE FRONT, here's a bit of advice. "When life throws you lemons, MAKE LEMONADE WITH SCALDING HOT WATER, and drink it slowly through a straw!" Maybe this will keep you fro interrupting said HARVEY, as he attempts feverishly to make a point! SHEESE!

  9. Gary is a very cute dog! I am glad that he has found a new home, with Carrie's daughter, Billie and that Gary is still a member of the Fisher family!!🐕🐆

  10. Gary was Billie's dog originally and Carrie went crazy over him and fell in love. From then on she was Carrie's dog. Billie gave in letting her mom keep him as her mom needed Gary.

Carrie was so eccentric in the most beautiful way possible. The dog with the sideways tongue suited her to a T.

Billie is simply amazing as well and Gary couldn't have a better home.

Peace to the family and everyone affected.

  11. she very likely ended up having a pulmonary embolus. People get DVT on long flights ( deep vein thromboses ) and these blood clots go up to the lungs and the heart , where they cause the symptoms of heart attacks. People die as there is no way to manage these issues, without immediate surgery. Prevention is the only way to go " no alcoholic drinks, but lots of water and walk around, as much as possible……alcohol dehydrates people and they get blood clots….another helpful hint….Take an aspirin before these flights. It would be nice to have these leg massage boots we use for patients in surgery, just to prevent the blot clots. Maybe the airlines should check into it. I see a pic of Carrie as she seems to be holding a drink with an ice cube in it….her walk is not really steady. People should not drink anything but water when they fly. It could mean life or death.

  12. Well DUH – if they have defibrillators on every flight why was Carrie w/o a pulse for 10 minutes? Did they try defibbing her and were unsuccessful, or did they not try?

  13. she was so courageous and a role model for me also her saying to all of us with bipolar disorder that if we are functional in our lives we are courageous. knowing the stigma and the disorder she was a advocate for those who are too poor to have a voice. she is their voice speaking on their behalf. She was amazing actress, a biopolar survivor and advocate a great humanitarian. She should have a star and honor and or a award for mental work she did. And we can all say with bipolar disorder we are not ashame because she wasnt. And now is our time to honor her too bad it wasnt while she was still with us. May God bless and your mother…the world is a darker place with two of heavens angels gone. RIP Carrie and Debbie. We love you both.

  14. The coke she carried around her everywhere is the reason for her heartattack, apparently she drank 20 or something cans of coke a day. No wonder she had a heart attack.

  15. With or without the defibrillator, if there are no cardiac meds (CaCl, MgSO4, Atropine, Adrenaline, ect) given within a few minutes, (this also means you need "line access" (intravenous aka IV) to administer these meds aka "push" (using a syringe, usually a "luer lock" type to push into the line) especially for women, your chances of survival are pretty much non-existent. Women generally do not survive heart attacks anyway. I see what happened to Carrie very often, especially those coming from high altitude going to low altitude or else really long commercial flights. One way to help prevent a heart attack from happening is something that costs a few pennies (maximum) a day; Aspirin. Take an aspirin ( as long as you are not allergic to it or have medication contraindication with aspirin) before a long commercial flight. Drink plenty of water during the flight as well. I live at 7K feet and take 81 mg ASA (aspirin) daily.

  16. I wish you guys would run more postive storys, maybe a follow up to ask how Gary and Billie are doing. Less creepy stalking.

  17. Animals have feelings like humans. But many treat as objects. This is why many animals lack emotions but have emotions. Grey knows mommy is not there but doesn't understand why she isn't there. This will be with them until their last day. Bring them in a loving environment helps them to get through the lost because they are being loved not being treated as a object. This helps ones to live on.

  18. fitting he shud stay in family; hope Billie survives all this n has close friends n family around as she grieves.

  19. I am so glad he is going with Billie! I'd heard in an interview with her that he was Billie's dog first and then Carrie took him 💜

  20. Captain Obvious here. She constantly drank soda, had a horrible diet..and chain smoked. Not to mention all the drugs (mega-doses of cocaine) she did in her life time. Lifestyle choices are what shortened her life.

  21. I'm thrilled Gary stays with family but what utter bull that Carrie Fisher can't get a real star for 5 years because she died! She should have had one already so it's crazy that it has to wait 5 years. My question is, & I hope someone can answer this, why is there a 5 year waiting period when someone passes away?

  22. I Can't Believe One Of Your Workers Fuckin Attitude of her way of speaking about Carrie Fisher Not Having a star, Girl Fix Your Damn Attitude or I'll Fix it for you, You Assholes Respect Her Cause She more of a legend then your dumb TMZ Show n she is her own stars and she is 4ever a legend…Oh Mann I'm Am So Pissed Right Now You Have No Idea What I Would've Done If I was the camera man in the TMZ Show I would smack Her Face With the camera , Lucky for her I don't beat on ladies

  23. Obviously this was before Carrie Fisher's autopsy and 'drug tox' screen was performed. Drugs…a little cocktail of everything. So sad and a huge loss.

  24. This has bothered me so I had to comment. This women (who I know nothing about) seemed so blatantly disrespectful to me. My first impression was that she was in a wheelchair and couldn’t move to turn and look at Steve! I mean no disrespect for those of you in wheelchairs but I figured there had to be a reason that she wasn’t moving to engage with Steve. I hope she got some coaching on this. I don’t wish her harm, I just know this is very uncomfortable for the other person. Cudos to Steve for his professionalism in this situation.

  25. Who is the fucking annoying female in this video? Girl, learn some common courtesy and stop cutting across people just to hear the sound of your own harsh, screechy voice. Guy, you should dump this pushy unmannerly piece.

  26. Carrie's dog has a new home now👍 /w her daughter & another dog & it's sad😢 about the passing away of Carrie, but she's in a better place now up in Heaven with the Lord.

  27. I see a few comments pissing and moaning about the lady in this video. i have to say she's always been a favorite of mine, reminding me of my sister who looks on in feigned eyerolling at her little sister's silliness… but not really eyerolling at all, but amused in her own way.

You guys gotta get over yourselves.

ps. Maybe the attitude problem is YOURS and not hers? lol
