Easy Penne Pasta with Tuna & Tomato Sauce Recipe

Today we’re making another recipe that’s done in under 30 minutes I know how much you guys love these type of recipes you know between your busy and hectic schedule you don´t have a lot of time to be in the kitchen cooking but you still want to eat good food that´s healthy so we´re going to be making Penne Pasta with a Tuna and Tomato Sauce guys this dish is really amazing and if you love pasta as much as I do this is going to be your jam this recipe has an incredible flavor a ton of protein thank´s to the tuna and it´s super easy to make ok let´s dive right into this first thing we´re going to do is finely mince 2 cloves of garlic and finely dice 1/2 of an onion I know I almost start every recipe doing this but hey any dish that starts with garlic and onions is always going to be a great dish and finely dice 1/2 of a red bell pepper now we can start cooking grab about a medium sized sauce pan we´re going to fill it with water a little over half ways then add a drizzle of extra virgin Spanish olive oil season with sea salt and heat it with a high heat next grab a large non-stick frying pan heat it with a medium heat and I´m going to add 2 tablespoons of extra virgin Spanish olive oil once the oil get´s hot I´m going to add the diced onions and minced garlic and mix them with the oil I´m going to cook this for about 4 minutes and you want to stir this occasionally next I´m going to add the diced bell peppers and mix them with the onions and garlic and cook this for an additional 4 minutes then I´m going to add 3 cups of diced tomatoes this equals 2 cans of diced tomatoes season with sea salt freshly cracked black pepper a pinch of white sugar to cut the acid from the tomatoes and 1/2 a teaspoon of dried parsley and mix everything together until it´s well combined once the sauce comes to a light boil lower the fire to a low heat our sauce is simmering and our water has began to boil now I´m going to add the pasta into the sauce pan I like to measure out 1 cup of penne pasta per person so this recipe serves to 2 people I´m going to be adding 2 cups whole wheat penne pasta and cook it for exactly 9 minutes to get it perfectly al dente after draining your pasta turn off the heat in your sauce and I´m going to add 2 tins of tuna in olive oil I´m going to drain the oil before adding to the sauce make sure you mix the tuna in there with the sauce so everything is well incorporated now add the cooked pasta into the pan and mix everything together until it´s well combined ok our dish is done you can serve this directly out of the pan that way you have less dishes to clean up I´m going to plate some of it for presentation I´m going to add some of the pasta with the sauce into a shallow bowl and then garnish it with some freshly chopped parsley ok now I´m going to give the dish a try salud! such a great combination of flavors to this pasta dish you know that tomato sauce with the bell peppers the tomatoes the tuna and the pasta is perfectly cooked al dente this is an awesome pasta dish you guys saw it done in under 30 minutes very healthy inexpensive you guys are really going to love this if you enjoyed today´s video on making this recipe please hit that like button leave me a comment below and don´t forget to subscribe until the next time…Hasta Luego!!
