Fliegenfischen am Förchensee (Chiemgau) – Saisonstart, perfekte Sichtfischerei


Every year after the closed season has ended we always have our first fishing days in the new trout season at the origin lake of the Weisse Traun (Förchensee). The cold temperatures meant that there was very little surface activity. But Ralf has a few tricks up his sleeves. At midday the fish started rising and we could outwit the fist trouts on the dry fly. The crystal clear water allows us normally to spot fish from a great distance. This doesn’t make it easier and sometimes you are forced to make some untraditional moves to get into casting distance of the fish. This brown trout didn’t want to play. The next few trout on the other hand we were able to catch At the end we were lucky to outwit one of the beautiful colored brook trouts to complete our spring trout grand slam.
