How Much Is the Decline in Birds, Fish, Reptiles and Mammals?

Our Science Revolution fact of the day
is that over the last 40 years we have seen a 60 percent decline in vertebrate
populations. That’s animals that have a spine basically. Birds, fish, reptiles,
mammals. A 60 percent decline from 1970 to 2014, according to the Biennial Living
Planet report published by the Zoological Society of London and the
World Wildlife Foundation. This is serious stuff . . .

  1. Unfortunately a lot of folks lack empathy. They are unable to understand the true depths of the emerging disasters. Unless it effects them directly, they have no foresight, then it becomes too late to act. The words, "I told you so" become meaningless. Perhaps education is all that we can do? Thanks for sharing.

  2. "It is all going to be fine. This is just more proof that Jesus is coming very soon, to take his believers home with him. Glory be to almighty Jesus!" This is a likely quote from some republican member of the US congress.
