Kerala Fish Molee/Fish Molly/Meen Molee /Easter Special .Recipe in malayalam Recipe:no66


First, lets Marinate the fish In a pan add 1/4 tsp of pepper 1/4 tsp turmeric powder Salt to taste 1 Lemon juice Mix well .. i have used 300gm of pomfret fish for marination .. Marinate the fish in that masala mix No need of adding extra water .. make gashes if the fish pieces are big Marinate it for half an hour For frying ,take a pan add coconut oil and heat to medium temperature Fry the Fish on medium heat Splutter some curry leaves in the coconut oil Now add the fish pieces for shallow frying You can use King Fish /Pearl spot etc for this recipe flip the fish pieces gently and fry the other side too Do not deep fry the fish . Shallow fry for 2 minutes each side is more than enough Take out the fish pieces and keep aside Now for making gravy ,take a Kadai and add some coconut oil When the oil is medium hot ,add 1 tsp finely chopped ginger Add 1 tsp finely chopped garlic Add 4 slit green chillies .Fry everything on medium heat Add chilli according to ur spice preference Add some more curry leaves Add one onion finely sliced Add Salt and saute well till transparent Now onion is ready 1/4 tsp or less pepper powder according to your spice level A pinch of turmeric Add 2 pinch of garam masala(optional) Saute till the raw smell of the masala goes. Then add the fried fish Cook for 2 mins so the masala is evenly coated on the fish Now add 11/2 cup of coconut milk ( 2nd coconut milk ) Let the fish cook in that coconut milk for 5 mins on medium heat Avoid using a spoon. Gently keep stirring at intervals Add 1 cup of thick coconut milk You just have to warm the dish after adding the thick coconut milk. The dish might churn if you boil it too much.So avoid boiling Add 1 tsp of lemon juice after checking the salt level.Add the lemon according to your preference Sprinkle with some curry leaves and some coconut oil Just stir the dish and keep it away from the stove and close it with a lid.This will gradually get thickened Try the Fish Molee with some hot Appams Remember to add the lemon juice after turning off the heat So our fish molee is ready serve .. Serve with appam or ur choice of dish
