Pan Seared Lemon Pepper Salmon with Arugula Salad

Bienvenidos welcome to Spain on a Fork you know so many people are trying to incorporate more fish into their diets just because it´s so healthy loaded with protein omega-3 fatty acids lowers bad cholesterol the only problem is most people only eat fish when they go out to eat which makes it very expensive and when they´re at home they don´t know what to do do I bake it? do I fry it? if you don´t season it correctly it doesn´t have the right flavor and it´s easily over-cooked which gives it a horrible texture today I´m gonna show you guys how to make the most amazing fish recipe that´s gonna get you hooked on eating more fish Pan Seared Lemon Pepper Salmon with Arugula Salad this is such an incredible dish loaded with flavors easy to make and done in under 20 minutes the perfect dish for one of those busy weeknights or for a weekend lunch now to make this dish make sure you use some fresh salmon don´t use the frozen stuff it´s gonna make a world of a difference and also use a good quality lemon pepper seasoning I´m gonna be using Spain on a Fork´s lemon pepper seasoning this is not your average lemon pepper this is some gourmet stuff and truly takes this dish to the next level in greatness you guys will find a link in the description box below where you guys can get this Spain on a Fork lemon pepper directly from alright folks let´s get stared first thing we´re gonna do is grab a bag of fresh arugula and add a handful to a dish grab 1/2 of a purple onion I always like to remove at least 2 of the outer layers for a better texture and thinly slice the onion then add the sliced onions on top of the arugula then I´m gonna grab a couple cherry tomatoes and rinse them under cold running water pat them dry and cut each one in half and then add the cut cherry tomatoes on top of the arugula season it with a little sea salt and some freshly cracked black pepper now let´s get to the star of the dish I´ve got a beautiful fillet here of fresh salmon this is about 500g which is 16 oz I´m gonna cut it half that way I end up with 2 fillets generously season with sea salt and a generous portion of the lemon pepper then get in there with your hands and tightly compact all the seasonings that way they don´t fall off when we´re cooking it ok let´s get cooking grab a fry pan heat it with a medium-high heat and add 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil after heating the oil for 2 minutes add the fillets of salmon into the pan skin side up and you wanna get in there with a spatula and push down on each fillet this is gonna give it that beautiful sear after 3 minutes flip the fillets around and we´re gonna cook them for an additional 3 minutes after a total cooking time of 6 minutes our fillets are perfectly cooked let´s go ahead and remove them from the heat and I´m gonna add one of the fillets to the plate with the salad for presentation garnish with a couple slices of lemon and add a kiss of extra virgin olive oil to the salad ok guys our dish is done look how amazing this turned out I´m gonna give it a try and let you know how it taste ok guys this salmon looks perfectly cooked here we go such an incredible flavor to this salmon first things first it is perfectly cooked the thickness of these fillets where about a little over an inch so you wanna go 3 minutes per side when you sear it if they´re a little bit thinner a little bit less if they´re a little thicker a little bit more and let me tell you the flavors here that lemon pepper is absolutely amazing it really takes this dish to the next level of greatness and paired up with this beautiful arugula salad this is a very healthy dish done in 20 minutes don´t forget to pick up this lemon pepper seasoning to make this dish link in the description box below where you guys can get this if you enjoyed today´s video hit that like button leave me a comment below and if you´re not subscribed smash that subscribe button until the next time…Hasta Luego!!
