Spicy Tuna Tartare Recipe : Cutting Avocados

Hi, my name is Karl James, owner of Creolesoul
Catering located in Round Rock, TX and one behalf of Expert Village I’m here to show
you a spicy tuna tartare. Now we need to cut that avocado, we’re going to cut in half and
then it comes apart we need to get that pit out, just use your knife. To cut that avocado
you can cut it basically with the skin on and just make some slices, and the other direction
(like so) and lets see if this works for us. You should be able to invert that and basically
just clean it out, there you have your avocado diced and you want to do that with both sides
of the avocado. Once again make slices across and then against those slices, little dices. Invert it, this side was a little harder but
we basically have them out, just clean it up. One thing about avocado if you try to
peel it and then try to dice it it’s real slippery and it will slide all over the place.
Anyway here’s our avocado all diced up we’ll move on to the next step.
