Tuna Tartare 3 Ways

The Fish Brothers Productions Presents Not Chef Ryan Show Tuna Tartare 3 Ways Hey guys it is Not Chef Ryan I’m back with another video Today I’m going to show you how to make Tuna Tartare 3 different ways Let’s get in to the kitchen He’s a little overweight and he likes to eat but he’s not a chef He’s not a chef That’s why he’s Not Chef Ryan Alright so we’ve got this beautiful cut of tuna here guys make sure that you use a very sharp knife we’re going to start cutting this in very thin slices just like that alright so now that we’ve got these in to strips we’re just going to cut them in to strips once again just like that Then we are going to cut these in to little squares just like that alright so we have cut this up in to little cubes We are going to place each one of these evenly in to 3 different bowls because we are going to make 3 different kinds of tuna tartare today alright so as you can see here I’ve got some apricots and we’re going to add just a little bit of amber agave nectar to this and then we’re going to blend this until it’s all smooth, just like that alright so the texture should look something just about like that alright so our first tuna tartare is going to be an apricot agave so we’re going to add a little bit of this puree to the fish, just like that and then we’ll go ahead and mix it around alright so our next one is going to be a little bit Japanese so we’re going to add just a little bit of wasabi in there we’re going to spice this up a bit this is a little bit of peanut oil and then we’re going to put some black sesame just like that okay so for our final one we’re going to just put a little bit of peanut oil and that will be it alright so we’re just going to go ahead and cut this avocado here and then we will remove the seed alright so we are just going to make thin slices here with the avocado all the way down, we’ll do that to both and the we will remove them from the skin alright so we’re just going to remove the avocado here from the skin so I’ve got a 2 1/4 inch mold here and we’re just going to begin setting the avocado right on the inside of that until we’ve filled up just a small area across the bottom alright so now we’re going to need to tamp this down, we’re going to improvise a little bit I’m just using a hot sauce bottle it works perfectly fine That will kind of make all that avocado sit down at the bottom of this real nicely just like that alright so I’ve got a purple onion here gosh look how beautiful this color is! we’re just going to go ahead and cut this up so that we can add that to the top here in just a minute so we’re going to lightly bread this onion here just by putting it in a bag full of flour and once we’ve got that full we’re going to give it a shake alright so we’re just going to remove the excess flour here by putting this in to a sifter and sifting out any of the flour bits that are not sticking to the onion alright so we’re just going to go ahead and add these onions here to our oil and we are just going to cook these until they become nice and brown Alright so these are just about done here they are done we’re going to go ahead and just put those on to a paper towel let some of that excess oil absorb off be careful when you put these on the top because they are hot alright so for our second layer we are just going to go ahead and add the tuna and once again we are just going to tamp that down real lightly right on the top lastly we are just going to top this with a little bit of our onion alright so we’re going to give this just a little bit of a twist lift up So I hope you guys loved my video today on how to make Tuna Tartare 3 different ways if you did be sure to like or subscribe you know I can’t stress the importance of sitting down at the table with friends and family to share a meal so don’t forget to share the gift of food with those that you love for other great videos you can check us out on our website, youtube, facebook, twitter, google +, or instagram which you can all find at Not Chef Ryan and until next time this is Not Chef Ryan saying, Love what you cook, and cook what you love Thanks for watching Ryan Berquist: Not Chef Ryan Direction: David Salazar art direction: Arely Cano Photography: Esteban Reyes
